Peugeot 505 STI (1981) - The Parts Car
In the autumn 2002 I bought a 1981 505 STI as a parts car. Because it was in driving condition I drove the car from another town to home and it did last that 180 kilometers fine. ;-) Only the steering felt a bit weird but otherwise it should have been technically in quite good condition. Lower sections of body panels had become rusty and there were some problem areas under the car too...
The car had a 110 bhp 2,0 liter ZEJ engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and disc brakes, power steering, power windows, power sunroof, power door locks, tinted glass, limited slip differential etc. It was imported in 1982 possibly from Saudi Arabia to Finland and sold to its second and last owner before me in 1992. The car came with some nice and rare alloy wheels and I also got plenty of spare parts including some new body panels and a spare 2,0 liter ZEJ engine.
I someway liked the light metallic green paint of this car and would have liked to repair the car's body but there was too much rust and after all I bought the car for parts only... Finally I demolished the car.
